    The Business Intelligence Department provides application development, web development, systems integration, dashboard design, and database programming for Katy ISD. It is comprised of three groups that work together to consolidate, maintain and distribute the district’s data to its stakeholders.

  • Analytics and Data Warehouse

    The Analytics and Data Warehouse group is responsible for the maintenance and consolidation of data in Katy ISD with a primary focus on analytics and forecasting. This division provides database and dashboard development, as well as management over the Geographical Information System (GIS). All of these systems provide stakeholders with the ability to acquire, analyze and forecast with the most accurate and timely information possible.

    Development and Integration

    Development and Integration is responsible for systems integration monitoring and support, web development, application development and reporting within Katy ISD. This division builds and maintains advanced business intelligence tools and provides “user awareness” support to the Cloud Computing environment. In addition to programming, this group creates data specifications and quality standards for the Katy ISD development environment.

    State Reporting

    State Reporting collects student, staff, financial and organizational data and is responsible for all submissions to the Public Education Information System (PEIMS). This group creates and carries out procedures to ensure accurate collection, maintenance and submission of all state reportable data.
