Summer Dance Camp hosted by The Jordan Legacies!
The Jordan Legacies are hosting a Summer Dance Camp! We will teach students of all ages dance skills and choreography! It is a day full of absolute FUN! Little Legacies Fall Dance Clinic (Ages 4 Yrs - 12th grade) June 26 - 28th, 2023 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM in JHS Dance Gym. Showoffs June 29th, 2023 at 10:00 AM in JHS Athletic Main Gym. *Signage around the school will direct you. The Legacies Dance Team will teach aspiring young dancers what being a Jordan Legacy is like. Campers will learn several Legacy traditions, energetic dance choreography, and skills in a fun-filled, spirited environment. Crafts, games, camp t-shirt, and snacks included! There will be a special surprise for the campers on the 28th! Pre-Drill Prep Class is offered to 6th - 12th graders! Dance technique, jazz and lyrical combos, Legacies FAQ panel, kick technique & more! What to wear: a tank top, shorts or leggings, tennis shoes or jazz shoes, hair in a ponytail. (Will change into a shirt after check-in. Restrooms are available near check-in to help your camper). Online registration must be received by June 9th to be guaranteed a clinic t-shirt. On-site registration will begin on May 2nd. **************No t-shirts are available for onsite registration.************

STAAR EOC Exam Results

Class of 2023 Final Transcripts Release Date
Final transcripts will be sent starting June 7, 2023, to the school that the student selected in SchooLinks for the transcript to be sent.

Visual Art Scholastic Event Results
On Saturday, April 18, art students participated in the Visual Art Scholastic Event. We had amazing results with many of our artists earning a Level 4 in their Division. Congratulations to the 13 Warrior Artists advancing to State! Their work will compete at the State Level for a chance to earn a Gold Seal. We are proud of everyone who participated.

Algebra II Graduation Notice
Graduation requirements for the Foundation High School Program + Endorsement (FHSPE) include four math credits, which must include Algebra I and Geometry credits, and two additional math credits. Algebra II is not specified as a graduation requirement; however, students who do not earn Algebra II credit are not eligible for:
- Earning the Distinguished Level of Achievement (DLA), which requires completion of an endorsement with Algebra II among the four math credits,
- Recognition as an honors or high honors graduate,
- Automatic admission to a state public college or university, and
- Certain financial aid opportunities, including the TEXAS grant or the Texas Educational Opportunity Grant.

ACCESS TO 2023 STATE TESTING RESULTS USING THE FAMILY PORTAL
The STAAR redesign was fully implemented in the spring 2023 for all grades/subjects and courses. Due to the changes, the reporting of performance standards will be later in the summer. As in previous years, the state assessment outcomes will provide families with detailed information about their student’s areas of strength, as well as any gaps in learning. Parents can access the state’s Family Portal for assessment results by using their child’s Unique Student Access Code. Parents may utilize the Parent Directions To Access State Testing Results (ENG./SPA.) document located on the Katy ISD Department of Research, Assessment, and Accountability website. Final test results will be available in the Family Portal by the end-of-day listed in the chart below:

STUDENT DEVICES FOR CHECK-OUT
Parents may complete the Student Device Checkout Request form for their student to check out a Chromebook for home use. As with other devices with an internet connection, the Chromebook enables students to log in to MyKaty Cloud to access campus resources including Canvas, encyclopedias, informational databases, and other learning tools.

HOME ACCESS CENTER (HAC)
As a reminder, parents of elementary and secondary students are asked to check the HAC to stay abreast of their student(s) current six or nine weeks assignment grades and grade average. HAC reflects the most accurate academic progress of students.
To ensure secondary students refer to the HAC to verify current grades on assignments and six weeks grade average, the following message is housed on the Canvas homepage:

2022-2023 DISCIPLINE MANAGEMENT PLAN AND STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The 2022-2023 Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct. Significant changes include moving information from the Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct to the Student Handbook. Electronic acknowledgment of both handbooks are included with the Annual Student Update.
