Spring Golf Tryouts
Are you interested in trying out for the golf team this spring? If so, tryouts will be held before school in the golf team sim room on Wednesday, January 8th, beginning at 6:30 AM. The sim room is located inside the natatorium on campus. Please see Coach Jones in room 1045 to sign up and for more details!

Blanket Drive Hosted by The Legacies Dance Team
The Jordan Legacies are hosting a Blanket Drive alongside our other Katy ISD Dance Teams! Please share this info to help spread the word to our JHS community! We want to collect as many blankets as possible from our Fulshear Families to help support our local Houston community in need! Please bring donations to the JHS Dance Gym before or after school or during passing periods between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on 1/7/2025 at 3 p.m.

Choir hosting JHS Talent Show!
Good morning, Warriors! Do you have a hidden talent just waiting to shine? The Choir Department is thrilled to announce the upcoming SCHOOL WIDE TALENT SHOW! Whether you are a musician, magician, gymnast, comedian, martial artist, or have another exciting talent, now’s your chance to step into the spotlight! Auditions will be held on January 15 and 16 from 2:45-4:30 pm in the choir room (Room 1560). Remember! Warrior Acapella Invites you to Falalaccapella
Jordan Choir's pop acappella ensemble, Warrior Acapella, invites you to a festive and merry holiday performance on Saturday, December 7 at 7 pm. "Falalaccapella" will feature guest performances by Adams JH choir, members of the Jordan Band and Orchestra, dance features, and the Houston Show Choir, as well as JHS's Warrior Acapella. Tax Rate 2024-2025
Katy Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEARS TAX RATE.THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 1.28 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-2.30. -
KATY ISD PEST AND ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT PLAN
In accordance with regulation 40 CFR 763.93 and Katy ISD Board Policy CKA (LEGAL), notice of the district's pest and asbestos management plan must be posted for all staff, students and parents/guardians. If you are new to Katy ISD or would like to review the Asbestos Management Plan or Pest Management Plan, you can find them in the Environmental & Safety section of the Maintenance and Operations Website.

KATY VIRTUAL SCHOOL
Katy Virtual School Registration for spring courses is open.
Katy Virtual School (KVS) online classes allow secondary students to acquire graduation credits and/or expand their learning opportunities through paid, online high school credit courses during the summer and school year. The cost is $200 per semester per course with reduced or no fees for students identified as economically disadvantaged. KVS offers over 60 approved College Board Advanced Placement (AP), Katy Advanced Program (KAP) and academic level courses. 2024-2025 STAAR TESTING UPDATES
Katy ISD STAAR testing calendar will offer campuses a 3-day testing window to administer state testing for specific content areas. One day is designated for STAAR Science (5/8), Social Studies (8), and Algebra I at the high school level. Campuses will choose their testing dates and grade levels based on the Katy ISD testing windows, which are aligned with the state testing windows. Specific STAAR testing days by campus will be posted to Katy ISD Research, Assessment, and Accountability website in mid-fall.
For the 2024-2025 school year, STAAR testing will be administered online. Only students who qualify for a special administration will be allowed to be tested using a paper format.

Topics in Learning.com include Online Safety, Digital Citizenship, Computer Fundamentals, Data Literacy, Productivity Tools, and Keyboarding.
