Final Exam Schedule
During the last 4 days of this semester we will be following the bell schedule below. Here are some reminders about what final exams look like in junior high.
- Comprehensive Exams (assessing all taught material from the fall semester) are only giving to 8th graders and in all high school credit courses.
- There is no re-teach/re-test for a failed final exam.
- Final Exams can not be taken before Tues, December 17th.
- Students that are absent and miss a final exam need to work with their teacher to make it up between Dec 17-Jan 17, excluding the dates of winter break (Dec 21-Jan 6).
- Final Exams are not calculated in the 3rd 6 weeks grade, but rather stand on their own in the calculation of the course semester grade.
- (Starting in 8th grade and in HS courses, to calculate a semester grade you average each 6-weeks grade twice with the final exam grade only once. For example, if a student has report card grades of 88, 89, 92 and a final exam grade of an 85, the calculation is 88+88+89+89+92+92+85=623, then 623/7 = 89)
