The Katy ISD Legacy Parent Academy is a series of informational sessions designed to assist parents by raising awareness on various social-emotional and academic topics that impact our students and our campuses district-wide. Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is driving a national crisis, claiming lives at an alarming rate. This presentation will provide critical information on the dangers of fentanyl, its presence in counterfeit pills and other substances, and the impact it has on individuals, families, and communities. Attendees will learn how to recognize the signs of overdose, the importance of naloxone (Narcan), and strategies for prevention and harm reduction. Whether you're an educator, parent, student, or community member, this session will equip you with the knowledge and resources to stay informed and help save lives.
