• Elementary Academic Support - Reading and Math

    Instructional interventions in reading and math are provided to students through the District’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Framework. The purpose of MTSS is to ensure that each student will benefit from instruction at the appropriate level of intensity to promote academic success.

    A Collaborative Team on each campus monitors student progress and recommends instructional interventions for students as needed.

    At the elementary level, students in need of reading or math intervention will receive supplemental, small group instruction during the regular school day. This instruction is in addition to the student’s general instructional program and may be provided by a classroom teacher or by a reading or math intervention teacher.
