The goal of the EL District Testing Center is to screen and place students qualifying for ESL or bilingual services into the appropriate programs the day of initial screening.

First-time enrollees in Katy ISD, in grades K - 12, whose Home Language Survey (HLS) indicates that the student speaks or hears a language other than English at home, are referred to the Testing Center.
