Katy Independent School District is committed to providing its students with many opportunities and experiences through which to become aware of, explore and plan for a career and further education. To improve our programs, curriculum and delivery strategies, the CTE department has created the Career and Technical Education Advisory Board.

CTE programs serve the community by addressing key challenges - from workforce development to student achievement, from economic vitality to global competitiveness. Katy CTE programs are providing students opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in a global economy.

The CTE department continues to look for business, industry, and community leaders to provide guidance and support to maintain rigorous coursework that is meaningful and responds to the needs of our community. Board members meet approximately 2 times per year.
