Is my Land Use Zone (LUZ) rezoned from Katy High School to Taylor High School?
Yes. The Land Use Zones that have been rezoned to Taylor High School include LUZ 42B and 42C. The rezoned Land Use Zones can be found on the Katy ISD web page titled, 2024-2025 Approved Attendance Boundary Modification (ABM).Where can I locate my LUZ?

Yes. Students residing in LUZ 42B and 42C who currently attend Katy High School may remain at Katy High School through graduation. However, these students/families will need to request a transfer to remain at Katy High School. The transfer application to remain at KHS will be available beginning at 9:00 a.m. on November 1, 2023, through January 15, 2024.Will incoming 9th grade students residing in LUZ 42B and 42C and rezoned to Taylor High School be able to request a transfer to attend Katy High School if an older sibling attends Katy High School?
Yes. Incoming 9th grade students may request a student sibling transfer to attend Katy High School if older siblings are enrolled at Katy High School.When will the Student Transfer Application for siblings be available?
The Student Transfer Application for siblings will be available beginning at 9:00 a.m. on November 1, 2023, and close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024. Students who do not apply for a sibling transfer by the deadline (January 15, 2024) will be rezoned to Taylor High School.Where is the Student Transfer Application located?
The Student Transfer Application is located on the Katy ISD Student Transfers webpage. The following link may also be used to access the form: 2024-2025 Student Transfer Application. This link opens on November 1, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.How and when will I know if my student’s transfer request is approved?
An administrative decision is typically made within 10 days of submission. Notification will be sent to the email address provided on the application. Please set your email filters to accept emails from CampusAdminSupport@katyisd.org.How long will an approved transfer remain in effect?

Transportation ABM Information:
Will transportation be provided for students living in LUZ 42B and 42C to Taylor High School for the 2024-2025 school year?
Yes. Transportation will be provided to Taylor High School. Students must qualify as ELIGIBLE for transportation according to Katy ISD guidelines.Will transportation be provided for students living in LUZ 42B and 42C who elect to remain at Katy High School for the 2024-2025 school year?

Athletics ABM Information:
Will students in LUZ 42B and LUZ 42C that remain at Katy High School on an approved transfer be required to submit any UIL-related eligibility forms for varsity athletic participation?
No. Students approved to remain at Katy High School on a transfer through graduation do not need to submit any UIL-related eligibility forms.Will incoming 9th grade students in LUZ 42B and LUZ 42C approved to attend Katy High School on a sibling transfer be required to submit any UIL-related eligibility forms for varsity athletic participation?
Yes. Incoming 9th grade students approved to attend Katy High School via a sibling transfer will require UIL related eligibility forms for varsity participation.Will students in LUZ 42B and 42C rezoned to Taylor High School through graduation be required to submit any UIL-related eligibility forms for varsity athletic participation?
No. Students who are enrolled and attend their rezoned campus, Taylor High School, per the approved Attendance Boundary Modification (ABM) are eligible for varsity participation.Will UIL varsity eligibility be impacted for those students who elect to remain at Katy High School on an approved transfer, but later rescind their transfer and attend Taylor High School?
Yes. Fine Arts ABM Information:
Will my incoming 9th grade student rezoned to Taylor High School and approved to remain at Katy High School on an approved student sibling transfer be able to try-out for cheerleading or dance team?
Yes. Incoming 9th grade students attending Katy High School on an approved student sibling transfer may apply for the transfer beginning on November 1, 2023, through Monday, January 15, 2023.
