Early Intervention Specialist

Specialized skills training (SST) is a rehabilitative service to promote age-appropriate development by providing skills training to correct deficits and teaching compensatory skills for deficits that directly result from medical, developmental or other health-related conditions.  Our EIS specialists support development across domains with an emphasis on strengthening cognitive skills, positive behaviors and social interactions. They build strategies into children's daily routines to promote child learning.  SST focuses on promoting parent/caregiver and child interactions within the context of everyday activities in the home and community.
