Yvette Campassi

Hello, my name is Yvette Campassi. I am so excited to begin my 29th year in education! I was born and raised in the Houston area and I received my Bachelors of Science in Education from Texas Tech University. I have taught in KatyISD at Bear Creek, Hutsell, Mayde Creek and Davidson for the past four years. I absolutely LOVE teaching MATH!!! I am an academic support teacher who supports math. I have triplet daughters who are in college. Abby is at the University of Arkansas, Taylor is at Texas State University and Shelby is at Texas A&M University. I am very proud of all of their accomplishments. I am looking forward to a great year and working with KDE students.

Amy Crawford

Hi! My name is Amy Crawford. This will be my 20th year in education. My passion is growing young readers and writers! My loving husband and I have two daughters, named Kimberly and Caroline. Kimberly will be 7th grade and Caroline will be in 4th grade at Davidson. I enjoy spending time with my family on the weekends, reading, shopping, and traveling. Your child will hear a lot about my family! This year is going to be the BEST year and I look forward to working with you and your child! I love being a KDE Dragon!

Courtney Heldenbrand

My name is Courtney Heldenbrand and this is my 4th year as a dyslexia teacher at Davidson Elementary. I previously taught kindergarten for 5 years in Katy ISD. I graduated from high school in Katy and went on to attend Baylor University. I have a bachelor's in elementary education and a masters in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on reading. I love helping students improve their reading skills. I believe that all students are capable of achieving great things. I have been married to my husband, Steven, for 13 years, and we have two boys who also attend Davidson. I am so excited about a wonderful year of learning and fun in dyslexia class!

Kathryn Smith

My name is Kathryn Smith and I have been at KDE for ten years. Prior to KDE, I lived in Kansas. During my career, I have taught students from 3 years old through 6th grade. My passion is helping students see themselves as capable learners. I have been married to my best friend for 30 years and we have amazing kids, Drew who is a musician, Gabby who is a Senior in college, and Ella Kate who is a sophomore at Katy High. I love traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family. You can often find me watching softball. I am looking forward to working with our students with reading and writing and supporting them in being their best.

Nacole Swaters

Hi, my name is Nacole Swaters.  I have been a student support para for 6 years. This will be my 2^nd year at Davidson.  I have 3 kids Jordyn, 19, Dyllan, 14, Blake, 10.  When I am not at school I love being out doors and doing anything physical.  

Deb Wheelis

Hi! I am Deb Wheelis and I love being a Dragon! This year will be my 25th year in education with 23 of those years being in KatyISD. I have a Bachelors degree from University of Houston and a Masters degree from University of Texas in Arlington. Throughout my career I have been a classroom teacher, instructional technologist, instructional coach, and for 9 years now I have been the Math Academic Support teacher for Davidson elementary. I am also the webmaster and coordinator for Safety Patrol. Personally, I am a widowed mother of two wonderful men (Tyler and Ryan) and two dogs (Betsy and Magnum). When not working I enjoy reading and have recently taken up finger knitting. I am excited to see what adventure my 25th year teaching will deliver.
