Danielle Beatty

Hi there! I'm Danielle Beatty and I'm so excited to be starting my sixth year of teaching. I absolutely love watching my students learn and grow and forming the best bonds with each of them. I have a wonderful husband, Giovanni, and three cats! Outside of school, I love hanging out with my friends, snuggling up with my cats while watching tv, and going on walks with my husband. My husband and I LOVE to travel around the world. I am looking forward to yet another wonderful year!

Avery Byrnes

Hi! My name is Avery Byrnes and this will be my second year at Davidson this year!! I am so excited to be a part of an amazing third grade team teaching science and social studies this year. I am very grateful to get the experience to teach a different grade and different subjects. I absolutely love teaching your kiddos and building a safe classroom family where we form connections, make mistakes, and learn from them everyday. I graduated with an Education degree at Texas A&M (Whoop!) I grew up going to school in Katy ISD and I am so proud to be teaching in a great district and at an amazing school. It's going to be a GREAT year and I cannot wait to form new connections with everyone!

Kristen Cowan  

Hi! My name is Kristen Cowan and this is my 18th year of teaching, and I had the pleasure of opening Davidson Elementary! I'm a mother to two boys: Corbyn will be starting 4th grade at KDE, and my other son is a sweet angel, Rylen, who is always in my heart! My husband of 15 years is a pilot with Southwest, and we have a dog named Colby! I love teaching 3rd grade math, science and social studies! I've had a wonderful summer relaxing and spending time with friends and family! I look forward to a great year with your child and I can't wait to see all the growth that happens! 3rd grade is the BEST!

Taylor Keegan

Hello! My name is Taylor Keegan and this is my 10th year of teaching 3rd grade and my second year here at KDE. I cherish helping my students develop a lifelong love of reading and learning. I have a son that is starting high school this year and a chihuahua named Tini. I am very family oriented and enjoy creating a family dynamic in my classroom. Building positive relationships in the classroom is vital to learning success! I look forward to a wonderful school year!

Lexi Neel

My name is Lexi Neel and I'm so excited to be back at Davidson this year for my 3rd year teaching 3rd Grade! I have grown up in Katy, Texas and attended KISD schools, so it is such an honor to always be able to teach in the district that means so much to me. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with an Elementary Education degree (go Bearkats)!! I truly enjoy 3rd Grade and it's such a powerful year for growth and learning. I love teaching and building a family atmosphere in my classroom, along with doing so many fun things! I look forward to a wonderful year with y'all!

Amy Rayes Velez

Hello, my name is Amy Rayes Velez and I am so happy to be teaching another year at KDE! This will be my fifth year teaching third grade and I absolutely love being able to help my students learn and grow. I love focusing on character and community building within my classroom, as well as getting to know each of my students. I have my Bachelor's Degree from California State University Bakersfield in Child Adolescence and Family Studies with a minor in English and my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in ESL from the University of Houston-Victoria. I have four sisters and my parents have retired on the beach in Puerto Rico. I love to FaceTime my family during my free time and cuddle with my 15 year old Morkie, Maggy. I very much look forward to a fantastic year making many memories with your third grader!

Valeria Rodriguez

Hello, my name is Valeria Rodriguez and I am so excited to teach 3rd grade at Davidson this year! This will be my 6th year teaching Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. I love teaching young minds and making learning fun. I was born and raised in South Texas. My hobbies are watching my shows, reading, outdoor activities, and spending time with my loved ones. My husband and I have a little one who is a year and a half, and 2 fluffy dogs. I look forward to a great school year with everyone!

Kara Rogers

My name is Kara Rogers and I'm so grateful to begin my first year of teaching at James and Keiko Davidson Elementary! I graduated from St. Edward's University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. From as early as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher and I get to live out my dream as part of the Dragon family! I am so excited to be joining the 3rd Grade team and have an amazing school year. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone this year!

Christian Watson  

Hello! My name is Christian Watson. I was born and raised in Beaumont, TX. I graduated from The University of Houston (Go Coogs!) and am eager to begin my 17th year of teaching. I worked in HoustonISD for 6 years, AliefISD for 10 years, and now I am excited to continue my educational journey in KatyISD here at Davidson! I am passionate about providing a safe and open classroom community, creating opportunities for developing a student’s excitement to learn, as well as helping them set and achieve their own educational/social goals. I have taught first, second, and third grade. I enjoy playing volleyball, watching Netflix, shopping on Amazon, and playing with my new 4 month old Maltipoo puppy, Onyx.
