About Morton Ranch High School

    Morton Ranch High School is named in honor of the Morton Family Ranch, established in 1896, when Elbert M. Morton and his wife Margaret moved with their family from Missouri to Katy. Today, a fifth generation of Morton's is in line to be a Katy ISD graduate.

    At Morton Ranch High School, Katy ISD's goals in the areas of excellence and technology are evident. The district's fifth high school is expansive not only in size, but also in its commitment to providing an educational environment that is student-centered, parent-friendly and teacher-supportive.

    In addition to academic courses, students at Morton Ranch have access to a wide variety of clubs and organizations, including Academic Decathlon, National Art Honor Society, Best Buddies, Bowling, Cheerleaders, Theatre, Band, Color Guard, Choir, DARE Role Models, Maverick Belles Dance Team, Debate, Destination Imagination, Future Business
