• Message from Dr. Ethan Crowell, Jordan High School Principal:

    Welcome to Jordan High School,

We are excited you are part of our community. There will be many “firsts” in the next few years as Jordan High School develops traditions and builds a culture where everyone belongs and has a place in the community. We all get to be part of that. There are three values at Jordan that are fundamental to how we see ourselves. The first is community. Community means everyone belongs here, and everyone has a place to belong by engaging in the programs, teams, and student clubs. There is a reason that community is our first value because belonging, being part of something bigger than oneself, is what we build everything else on. Our second value is commitment. Commitment means working through the hard part when you are just learning to do something. It is not only valuable, but necessary to getting better at anything. Our third value is resilience. Resilience is what you show as an individual, and what we show as a community when the commitment is hard, when we don’t want to get back up or try again. These values shape the decisions we make and the daily actions we engage in.

There are many things in life that can be done over again. High school is not one of those things. You get one opportunity to make the most of it. One opportunity to learn everything you can from your teachers, to play the sport you love, to learn an instrument, take the marching field with your friends, or learn how to make art. These are only a few examples of the opportunities students will have at Jordan. Every day counts and every day at Jordan is the chance to live community, commitment, and resilience.

We are looking forward to a great adventure as we continue to create the culture of Jordan and are so grateful you will be part of it. We encourage you to plug in and be part of our community.
