I love being a librarian! This is my 21st year in education and my 14th year in the library! My favorite thing about being a librarian is getting to help my amazing students find books that they love and sparking a passion for reading in them! I am a mommy to 3 boys who keep me very busy! My husband is a pilot for Southwest Airlines and we have been married for 20 years this year. My cat, June Bug Pickle Matovich, rules my house! I love to travel, read books, watch movies, ride bikes with my family and relax by the pool. 

Favorite Books: It is just too hard to pick one! I love ALL of the books! Some of my favorite children's books are The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo; All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold; and The Monster At The End of This Book by Jon Stone. 

I have been a Library Clerk in Katy ISD for 20 years and I have worked with Mrs. Matovich for 18 years.  We have worked together in the library for 13 years!  I love working in the library because I get to see all the KDE students!  I love helping the students find their "just right" book!  The library is my happy place! When I am not working at KDE, I love reading books, putting together jigsaw puzzles and cuddling with my three sweet cats and my big beautiful dog!   

Favorite Books: My favorite books that I have read are: Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper; The Lightning Thief series by Rick Riordan; and Love, Ruby Lavender by Deborah Wiles and many many others!
