Where did you go to college, and what degree(s) do you have?
I have a B.A. in English from UC Davis (Go Ags!), my Master's in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University, and my school library certification is from the University of Houston, Clear Lake.
Can you tell us about your family?
If you were to come to my home, you would meet my husband and I. He is a native Texan, and my family is scattered across California.
What about pets?
We have two delightfully mischievous cats: Fiora and Cirilla.
Why did you decide to work in the library?
The obvious answer is I love reading, but for me, it's more than that. Being in the school library allows me to fully embrace my creativity & love of learning. When I was a teacher, I only taught one grade level & one content, and I didn't always have the time or resources to try all the cool projects I wanted to. Now, I can help all the teachers create unique, engaging lessons that build a love of reading AND learning.
What is your favorite type of book to read, and why?
Growing up, my nose was always in a fantasy book or manga. Nowadays, I still read fantasy & manga but have developed a love of contemporary romance. I also really enjoy listening to nonfiction audiobooks in the car.
If I caught you at Starbucks, what would you order?
My daily go-to is an iced green tea, unsweetened. In the fall, don't be surprised to see me order a Caramel Apple Spice (no whip) & pretend it's cold enough for a hot drink..
We all know you love reading. When you're not reading, what else do you like to do for fun?
My husband and I enjoy meeting up with friends to play board games or Dungeons & Dragons. I also enjoy a trip to a movie theater or museum.

Where did you go to college, and what degree(s) do you have?
I attended BYU-Idaho and have a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities.
Can you tell us about your family?
I am the oldest of four children: two girls, two boys. My parents have been married for 25 years and we love watching movies together and doing cross-country road trips.
What about pets?
We have a three year old dog name Jake. He is a brown mixed breed
Why did you decide to work in the library?
Because I did my internship in an academic library at my university. I fell in love with the library environment and I have loved reading since I was a child.
What is your favorite type of book to read, and why?
I love fantasy and romance books. I also love retellings or stories base on myths of different cultures. Why? Because to quote C.S. Lewis "one day we will be old enough to read fairytales again," and that sentiment never left me.
If I caught you at Starbucks, what would you be ordering?
Probably a hot chocolate (not a big coffee drinker).
We all know you love reading. When you're not reading, what else do you like to do for fun?
Watching movies or television shows primarily. I also love painting and home DIYs. You can also find me writing.
