Maker Monday

  • This campus club allows students to meet once a month to work on 21st century design, creative problem solving, & STEAM skills. Our activities allow students to explore skills & technologies that may help them decide what they want to pursue as a future career. The club will be hosted in the HJH Library with Mrs. Gruen, the librarian.

This year, the club meets one Monday every month (dates listed below) during ELT. Because space in the library is limited, not all club members will be able to participate in every activity.
On the day of a club meeting, students will need to report to the library before noon to sign up for a pass. Passes will be given to the first 30 students. Students should not request passes on days they have academic, fine arts, or athletics obligations. Students who request passes & do not show up for 2 separate meetings will be removed from club rosters out of fairness to other members. Our activity will start no later than 1:50 in order to allow ample time for all to work on the activity; late arrivals may miss out on  instruction.

Attendance is not mandatory to remain in the club but the permission slip must be returned for the student to join. Active attendance rosters will be kept safe for school safety. If you have any questions, my contact information is listed below.

While students are not required to pay a club fee, donations of supplies for these projects are always appreciated. You can find the library clubs wish list at https://a.co/3we2r5A
