PurposeFULL People

PurposeFULL People is the character education program that Katy ISD has adopted for elementary students. The curriculum focuses on fostering the whole child through social-emotional learning and character development. Each month, the program highlights a certain character trait and provides social-emotional lessons and activities that correspond with that trait. The PurposeFULL People curriculum is incorporated into counselor-led guidance lessons and integrated into weekly classroom instruction with the homeroom teacher. Additionally, throughout the year, teachers can nominate students who are seen demonstrating any of the PurposeFULL People character traits for an award. Once nominated, the student will be featured on the morning announcements, receive a personalized certificate, and take home one of our "Super Creech Comet" yard signs to keep in their front yard for a few weeks. Their picture is also posted to the PurposeFULL People bulletin board in the main hallway.
