Character Strong Program at KJH

Character Strong is a schoolwide program that focuses on character development and social-emotional learning to help students cultivate skills, habits, and traits that help them become productive, empathetic, and successful in all areas of their lives.  Every Monday during advisory, your child will be participating in a Character Strong lesson and/or dare, with a focus on one of the following Character Strong 8 essentials: patience, kindness, humility, respect, selflessness, forgiveness, honesty, and commitment.  

Students will have the opportunity to learn, practice, and reflect on the traits being taught to help them grow into kind and compassionate adults. Every 6 weeks, students who consistently display great character will be recognized as a "Tiger with Character." They will receive a "Tiger with Character" certificate, a student incentive, and their name on the "Tigers with Character Wall."
