Band
Cinco Ranch Jr. High Band is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to the musical and academic education of all participants. CRJH band consists of four, ability grouped, levels; First Year Band (FYB) Concert, Symphonic, and Honors bands. Full band, small groups, and private instruction activities are provided to help students achieve and improve the success of our students. Band at CRJH helps to develop life skills, as well as musical skills, nurtures strong bonds of friendship, and provides a family-type of environment for all the students. Band also emphasizes self-discipline, promotes teamwork, and provides an enjoyable, worthwhile, and life-long hobby.

Cheerleading & Mascot
The Cheerleaders and Mascots promote school spirit and provide support for student-athletes. You must be in Pep Squad for one year in order to try out for cheerleader or mascot.

Choir
A class that involves learning to read music, singing a variety of repertoire, and learning to appreciate all styles and facets of music. It is an opportunity to be a part of a team where working together and building confidence are two of our main goals.

Circle of Friends
Circle of Friends exists for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build genuine friendships with their neurotypical peers.

Math & Science Team
Our Math & Science club participates in the annual Texas Math & Science Coaches Association competition, an organization formed in 1981 to promote excellence in math and science through competition. There are four events in TMSCA: Number Sense, Calculator, Mathematics, and Science.

NJHS
National Junior Honor Society is an organization of 8th-grade students who organize service projects for our community. Current 8th graders are inducted into NJHS in January and current 7th Graders are inducted into NJHS at the end of 7th grade. Actual participation in activities occurs in 8th grade.

Orchestra
Cinco Ranch Junior High Orchestra is an award-winning program that strives for excellence, teamwork, and fun for all students. CRJH Orchestra has five orchestras made up of five different string instruments: violin, viola, cello, bass, and harp. Students with no experience can join our First Year Orchestra classes, while students with musical experiences have the opportunity to join Philharmonic, Chamber, Sinfonia, or Symphony class. Orchestra students can use problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to communicate in orchestra to other areas of life. Orchestra students are dedicated to being bold, brilliant, and the best.

Student Council
Student Council is a student-run organization that allows students to be involved in all areas of the school. Many of the events allow students the opportunity to reach out to the community.

Student Led Clubs
Students at CRJH have the opportunity to create and lead their own clubs with the help of a teacher sponsor. Students who are interested in creating a club should get a Club Approval Form from the front office and find a teacher or staff member to sponsor. Once the form is completed and signed, turn it into the front office for approval.
