Awards & Recognitions

Hayes is an Exemplary School based on the TEA accountability rating system and receives Gold Ratings in all subject areas each year. Students excel in academics, but also receive various awards each year in the area of vocal and visual arts. Numerous students have previously traveled to Austin to be honored and have their work displayed at the Capitol or in the Governor’s office. Hayes' students are generous with their volunteer efforts. We are consistently one of the top fundraisers for the American Heart Association. It is our goal to teach each student to SOAR. We want each child to strive to be a lifelong learner who meets challenges with respect and enthusiasm to achieve academically, emotionally, physically and socially.
