In Destination Imagination (DI), students work together in teams to solve open-ended STEAM challenges designed to teach the creative process.  Teams are formed in the fall and work together on a weekly basis to find a creative solution to the challenge chosen.  In doing this, they focus on critical thinking, problem solving, public speaking, and teamwork.  They present their solution to the challenge at the regional tournament, and based on their scores, can then progress to higher levels of competition.  While the team does have a parent as a team manager, everything is compiled by the students.  It takes time, determination, and grit to compete in the DI tournament.
