Hutsell has many exciting, engaging, and fun clubs and programs for our hornets to participate in throughout the school year.
- Read, Deed, Run: Read, Deed, and Run is a year-long program in which students in 4th and 5th grade meet after school to run one mile or perform a deed. During the course of the program, students read 26 books or 2,600 pages, perform 26 good deeds in our community, and run 26.2 miles. Read, Deed, Run culminates in May with a 1.2-mile fun run in which Katy ISD participants earn their "marathon" finisher's shirt and medal.
- Student Council: Our Student Council is a group of students who work with faculty sponsors to enhance our school community through active participation. The council is made up of one elected representative from each third, fourth, and fifth-grade classroom, an elected President, Secretary, and Treasurer, as well as teachers and administrators.
- Take Me Fishing: Take Me Fishing Hutsell is an annual event organized by Coach Robert Brashear in partnership with the Texas Park and Wildlife department to promote and encourage fishing as a family.
- Young Men of Honor: Young Men of Honor is a program designed for a select group of boys on campus that were handpicked from the fourth and fifth grade classes that hold the characteristics of a good citizen. Some of these characteristics we look for, and discuss in the group, are Respect, Honor, Integrity, Self-discipline, and Kindness.
- Garden Club: The Hutsell Garden Club looks to provide families an opportunity to build up the Hutsell community while creating a sustainable food source for its members.
- Art Club: Led by Maria DeVincentis, our campus art club meets weekly to allow 5th graders passionate about to explore their skills in various mediums beyond what they are exposed to in class.
- Choir: Led by Cindy Locke, the Hutsell Choir provides an opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to explore their musical abilities beyond the classroom and to perform in front of audiences in preparation for the musical arts at the secondary level.
- The Hutsell House System: Hutsell Elementary is proud of our diverse student population. This school year we will be implementing the Ron Clark Academy House System to foster inclusiveness and a sense of belonging for all students. We strive to give students the opportunity to connect and engage with other students across classes and grade levels that they may not have otherwise interacted with
