• What is Title I?

Title 1 is a supplemental program designed to provide instructional support to students who exhibit an academic need and to improve the educational program of the entire school. Although this program was established by Congress in 1965, Katy ISD first received Title t funds in 1986. Since that time, the program has continued to grow.

    Purpose of Title I?

The purpose of Title 1 is to provide all children with significant opportunities to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps. The mission of Franz Elementary School is to provide an educational program that offers each child the opportunity to develop individual abilities intellectually, physically, and socially within a cooperative, challenging, yet nurturing environment. The faculty, staff, parents, and volunteers are committed to developing lifelong learners who are productive, self-reliant, and caring citizens. With the belief that all students in our diverse population can achieve success, we are committed at Franz Elementary School to create the future.
