Alexander Elementary, named after longtime KISD teacher and administrator Roosevelt Alexander, opened its doors in August 1998. Mr. Alexander was a dedicated educator who devoted the majority of his career to the students of Katy ISD. He can still be seen frequently on the RAE (Roosevelt Alexander Elementary) campus making students smile and signing his autograph on the back of StingRAEs' shirts. We love our namesake, Mr. Alexander!

Our vision can be stated in three words: NURTURE, CHALLENGE and ACHIEVE. We understand the value of relationships, get excited about the challenges ahead of us and set goals that we achieve together as a school community.

In pursuit of excellence, the mission of the Roosevelt Alexander Elementary community is to create a positive, safe, nurturing environment where students are challenged, achievement is maximized and full potential is realized. As you can see, we know that it takes all of us to achieve this mission daily. We look forward to working together with all members of our school community to make our school gRAEt each and every day!

The StingRAE staff is a group of committed educators who ensure that all Alexander students are receiving the best of academic and social-emotional opportunities. Our teachers never stop learning and are enthusiastic about using best practices for teaching our precious students.

Alexander is fortunate to have an extremely devoted community who is an active part of the daily life and overall operation of our school. We communicate with our parents weekly about teaching and learning, upcoming events, and ways to get involved through our RAE eNews and our RAE PTA eNews.

The RAE PTA is an integral part of the RAE community. The PTA holds major fundraisers each year to support the needs of the Alexander students. They are often called upon to help support instructional initiatives and fund programs and field trips for our kids. The wonderful educational programs currently in place would not be possible without the assistance of the RAE community.

Alexander has numerous special programs and activities that enrich the curriculum. Students participate in Hands-On Science, Destination Imagination, and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of our students. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Read, Deed and Run program, Junior Achievement, Lego Night, RAE Watch, Math and Science Team, Red Ribbon Week, SingRAE Choir, our Special Buddies program, and many more.

We are very grateful to be part of such a wonderful school-community! Go StingRAEs!
