Student Council
-
The Student Council is a group of elected and volunteer students working together with an adult advisor to provide a means for student expression and assistance in school affairs and activities, give opportunities for student experience in leadership and encourage student/faculty/community relations.
At Rhoads, the Student Council is made up of representatives from each 4th and 5th grade classroom. The Student Council will meet once or twice a month to coordinate school and community projects.
In order to be a member of the Student Council, a student must:
- being a good role model
- demonstrate leadership qualities
- maintain good citizenship grades (S in citizenship, no office referrals)
- maintain grades of A’s and B’s
- maintain good attendance (few absences and tardies)
- be available after school once or twice a month to attend meetings
- be picked up on time after the meeting
