I grew up in Conroe, Texas, and graduated with a BS from the University of Houston-Downtown. I received my master's in Library Science with School Librarian Certification at Texas Woman’s University. I have taught elementary school in Alief and Katy ISD. My family and I live in Cross Creek Ranch. I have been married for 14 years and have identical twins, Chandler and Charlee, who are in 5th grade. We also have an Aussiedoodle named Marley. My interests include books, dancing, music, and, most of all, my family.

My Favorite books are anything written by Keven Henkes, Tomie Depaola, James Marshall, Judith Schachner, Mo Willems, and Chris Van Allsburg. I also love the Pinkalicious and Fancy Nancy books.

Hello! I grew up in Ohio and relocated to the Houston area six years ago after a short stint of living abroad. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Missouri S&T (formerly UMR) and a Master's degree in Paleontology from the University of Oklahoma. In a past life, I've been employed as an environmental geologist and an adjunct professor with Tarrant County College teaching geology and earth science. On a personal note, I met my husband in graduate school and we have two wonderful children who attend JRE. I love traveling to new places, playing tennis, and spending time with family.
