Who can check out books?

Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

How many books am I allowed to check out?

Kindergarteners and 1st graders can check out 1 book.  Second and 3rd graders can check out 2 books.  Fourth and 5th graders can check out 3 books.  PreK students can begin to check out books in the 2nd 9 weeks and the books will remain in the classroom.

What happens if I lose a book?

Lost books must be replaced and can be paid via Katy ISD Pay N. Go.

What happens if I damage a book?

It depends on the damage.  If we can still put it out on the shelf, we will try to repair it.  If it’s been wet, it will likely have to be replaced and can be paid via Katy ISD Pay N. Go.
