Meet the Counselor

Howdy! My name is Hannah Mikulenka. I graduated from Texas A&M University with my Master’s in Educational Psychology and my Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies. This is my 8th year at Katy ISD. This will be my fourth year as the counselor at Shafer Elementary. I previously taught 6th-grade science for four years and coached the cheerleading team for two years at CRJH.

I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey as the counselor at Shafer Elementary! As a counselor, I will strive to have an open-door policy where students can feel safe, loved, and supported in any situation. My goal is to provide each student with individualized needs of support, character building, and social-emotional learning.
