Mission:
Raines Academy creates innovative learning experiences and provides unparalleled growth opportunities to inspire students to create a better tomorrow. 

Raines Academy is a Katy ISD alternative high school campus designed to assist at-risk, over-aged, or off-cohort students meet graduation requirements. The new facility opened in January, 2022, to provide additional programming to prepare students for post-secondary success in college, trade school, the military, or the work force.

Our campus culture is centered around meeting students where they are and providing a variety of options to address their unique needs.  This goal is accomplished by providing flexible hours from 7AM to 6PM which allows students to build their own semester schedule with a four hour daily attendance minimum.  Students participate in a hybrid learning experience with opportunities to learn from home in addition to the daily, in-person sessions on campus. 

Students also have the option to participate in the Katy ISD student work program.  Students interested in working part of their day in a temporary Katy ISD position can do so while still attending Raines to meet academic requirements.  This program allows students, upon graduation, the opportunity to apply for full-time employment in Katy ISD, where they could earn a full-time salary, benefits and TRS service credit.
