ABOUT AJH NJHS

The Adams Junior High chapter of National Junior Honor Society boasts over 300 members doing great things across our community! The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.
How do I become a member of NJHS?
NJHS membership is offered to qualified 7th-grade students after the 5th six weeks report cards are printed. Students with at least a 3.75 grade point average (GPA) and a clear discipline record. Names are gathered from a Katy ISD-generated report of students' GPA and conduct history. Students with discipline infractions throughout the year are subject to removal from the list. -
Students who qualify will be invited via a personal letter delivered during the school day. Details regarding induction and membership expectations will be included in invitation letters.
What is required of members?
Members are required to complete a minimum of 10 service hours. Additionally, members must maintain a 3.75 GPA and a clear discipline record throughout their 8th grade year.
