            Rylander Family,

As we start to close out this school year and start preparing for the 2024-2025 school year, there are a couple things I want to share with parents. Next year we will welcome a new assistant principal, Oscar Spivey. Mr. Spivey is coming to us with 3 years of experience as a campus administrator at Morton Ranch Elementary School and 4 years of experience as an assistant principal in Alief ISD. Mr. Spivey will be replacing Mrs. Papa in a Katy ISD Assistant Principal Leaders Program. Mrs. Papa will be going to Morton Ranch Elementary School as part of this leadership program as an assistant principal. We wish Mrs. Papa the best next year and welcome Mr. Spivey to Rylander.

Also, starting next year, all 3rd – 5th grade students will be issued a Chromebook that will be checked out to each student. This is part of the bond that just passed in Katy ISD for a 1:1 device initiative. More information will come out in the Fall, however, please look over the flyer below regarding the purchase of insurance for the devices that is being strongly encouraged. Parents will pay for insurance through Pay n Go. Also, to make your life easier, don’t forget to order school supplies for next year. See PTA flyer below as well.

Here are a few reminders regarding finishing the school year strong:
