The Cybersecurity Department provides proactive protection and monitoring to safeguard Katy ISD’s digital infrastructure and sensitive data. This team is committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for learning and working for all students, staff, and administrators throughout the district. 

The Cybersecurity team monitors threats in real time, manages network and endpoint protection, and enforces security policies to minimize risk. The team uses a layered defense strategy to help prevent unauthorized access, malware, phishing attacks, and data breaches.  

Cybersecurity also leads staff training initiatives, manages account security, and coordinates incident response efforts. From email filtering and multi-factor authentication to vulnerability scanning and compliance audits, this team plays a critical role in keeping Katy ISD’s technology resources safe, secure, and resilient.
