Technology Operations provides the services that are the foundation and support for the use of all technology in Katy Independent School District. Technology Operations consists of three teams: CyberSecurity, Systems Engineering and Network Engineering. These teams are responsible for ensuring digital security infrastructure, controls and processes are in place, as well as the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of all the servers, and both wired and wireless networks connecting all schools and support facilities. Katy ISD will create and sustain a best-in-class infrastructure to securely accommodate the current and next generation of digital content and tools for all stakeholders.
Technology Operations is focused on architecting and engineering infrastructure solutions that will continue to be the bedrock of Katy ISD Technology going forward. This focus includes providing excellent customer service while protecting digital assets and information, maintaining systems, performing upgrades, and integrating appropriate new technologies. This provides an experience in the classroom that will allow for the exchange of ideas and thoughts for today's digital learner.
