Technology Operations serves as the backbone of all technology services across Katy Independent School District. The department comprises four specialized teams—Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, and Physical Security, in concert to ensure the district’s infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable. These teams are responsible for implementing robust security measures and for designing, deploying, and maintaining all servers, along with both wired and wireless networks that connect every school and support facility within the district.

As part of its mission to safeguard the district’s physical and digital environments, Technology Operations also manages access control systems, security camera infrastructure, and two-way radio communications across all Katy ISD locations.
Katy ISD is committed to building and sustaining a best-in-class technology infrastructure that supports both current and next-generation digital tools and resources. This infrastructure is essential to providing educators, students, and staff with seamless, secure access to the technology they rely on daily.
