Student Password Frequently Asked Questions
I am a new student; how do I access my account for the first time?
For new students, the student or guardian will receive an email from Katy ISD with this information.
Go to MyKaty to log in.
What is my username/Katy ISD ID?
Your Username is your Katy ISD ID, which is listed at the bottom of your school's ID badge (ex. A1234567).
Or, you may ask one of your teachers for your Katy ISD ID.
How do I reset my Password? (Students in Grades 6-2)
Sign into your MyKaty account and follow these instructions.
What are the answers to my security questions? (Students in Grades 6-12)
You would have created these answers the first time you accessed the Password Reset tool.
How do I change my password or security questions? (Students in Grades 6-12)

I forgot my password. (Students in Grades PK-5)
You may ask one of your teachers for your password.
How do I update the email address or cell phone number that is on file for me? (Students in Grades 6-12)
