Student Foreign Exchange Program

It is the goal of Katy Independent School District (KISD) to provide international students from diverse cultures, who are approved for enrollment, the opportunity to experience the rewards of participating in quality educational programs, to meet and interact with students with a variety of interests, and to become more fluent in both written and spoken English.

Foreign Exchange Students must attend the high school to which their host family residential address is zoned. Acceptance is granted on a first-come/first-serve basis after all required components of the application process have been met.

2026-2027 KISD Foreign Exchange Application and all required attachments should be emailed to Foreignexchange@KATYISD.ORG .  Applications received prior to Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CST​, will not be accepted.  Deadline for receiving applications is Tuesday, July 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CST.

• Agency representatives please attend an informational meeting at Leonard E. Merrell Center Meeting Room 105, February 18, 2026, at 6:00pm.
