Scholarship available to high school seniors, who are a son, daughter or legally adopted child of an active, retired or deceased letter carrier NALC member who is or was a member in good standing for at least one year prior to student application. Stepchildren and grand- children are eligible if they live with the letter carrier in a regular parent-child relationship. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college. Applicants must also forward a copy of original ACT or SAT scores by March 31.

HOUSTON CHAPTER OF WTS
The Houston Chapter of WTS scholarship applications are open as of September 1, 2023. This year, the Chapter is offering $23,000.00 in scholarships to young women in the Houston area who are seeking degrees and careers in the transportation industry. A total of seven scholarships will be awarded. The scholarship encourages women to undertake careers in the transportation industry. The Transportation YOU High School Scholarship seeks High School Seniors pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and math. The chapter will award $3,500.00 to one student. An additional $1,000.00 endowed scholarship may be awarded by the Chapter. The awarded applications will be submitted to WTS International to compete for an additional $2,500.00. Applicants will be asked for a personal statement, a letter of recommendation, and a copy of the applicant’s report card. Applications will be due by Friday, October 13, 2023. WTS is an interdisciplinary professional organization, with members representing the many careers that contribute to transportation projects. REGENERON SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH
Regeneron STS is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science research competition for high school students. Started in 1942 as the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, Regeneron STS recognizes and empowers our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges.
Each year, nearly 2,000 students enter the Regeneron STS, submitting original research in critically important scientific fields of study. Unique among high school competitions, the Regeneron STS focuses on identifying, inspiring, and engaging the nation’s most promising future leaders in STEM.

THE COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 35th class in 2023, the Foundation has provided over 6,750 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $81 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.
The 2024 application will be available August 1-October 2, 2023, for students who will graduate during the 2023-2024 academic year.
