KATY, TX [December 11, 2024] – Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) is excited to announce the appointment of Krista Gillaspia as the new principal at Nottingham Country Elementary.
“I am thrilled to be back at Nottingham Country as principal and I look forward to leading the students and staff,” said Gillaspia. “I am excited to rekindle old relationships and foster new ones with students, staff and families to nurture and lead our young Knights on their path to excellence."
In her nearly 20-year career in education, Gillaspia has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. She was also named the district’s Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year for 2023.
“Mrs. Gillaspia is an experienced leader who will build upon the culture of student and staff achievement at Nottingham,” said Dr. Ken Gregorski, Katy ISD Superintendent. “I anticipate that she will continue the long legacy of strong leadership there and I look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make."
Currently, Gillaspia serves as an assistant principal at Hayes Elementary and will assume her new position on January 6, 2025.
Gillaspia holds a Master of Science in Educational Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin.
The campus’ current principal, Tracy Stroud, will be moving to a new position in district administration.
