T-Tess

T-TESS

The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) is the appraisal system used by Katy ISD.

The appraisal system comprises three components:

  1. T-TESS Orientation
  2. Goal Setting and Professional Development Plan
  3. Student Learning Objectives (SLO)

All new hired teachers for Katy ISD must receive T-TESS training comprised of the three components.

  • If you have never received T-Tess training, please plan to register in Eduphoria and attend one of the trainings offered by Katy ISD.
  • If you have received T-Tess training in another district, please enroll in the T-Tess and SLO Certificate Upload eCourse in Eduphoria and follow the instructions to complete the course: KISD - T-TESS and SLO Certificate Upload 2026-2027.
