2024-25 Approved Attendance Boundary Modifications – Nelson Junior High (#18), Haskett JH, Stockdick JH, Freeman High School (#10), Paetow HS, and Katy HS

Katy ISD annually reviews its attendance boundaries to ensure the District is adequately addressing its fast growth, as well as student and staff capacity at schools. Balancing school enrollment across campuses is essential to ensuring that each of our students has access to safe and engaging learning environments. 

What is an Attendance Boundary Modification (ABM)?
Attendance Boundary Modifications (ABMs) help the District manage growth in Katy ISD. As enrollment increases, it becomes necessary to adjust boundaries and open new schools. ABMs enable the District to balance student enrollment at campuses.


Haskett Junior High Approved ABM

Where is Nelson Junior High (#18) located?
Nelson Junior High (#18) is located in the northwest quadrant of the District. The address is 25747 Longenbaugh Road, Katy, Texas 77493.

When will Nelson Junior High (#18) open?
Nelson Junior High (#18) will open in fall 2024.

Why is it necessary to adjust Haskett Junior High enrollment?
Haskett Junior High is already enrolled above its building capacity. Additionally, enrollment at the campus is projected to continue to increase over the next eight years. Adjusting the campus’ enrollment will provide for safer and more engaging learning environments for all students.
