Attendance Boundary Modification

Evaluation of a 2025-2026 Attendance Boundary Modifications
Land Use Zones 60C & 60D
(Cinco Ranch Junior High to Tays Junior High)

At the March 2025 Board Work Study meeting, Trustees were presented with an evaluation of an attendance boundary modification (ABM) for Land Use Zones 60C and 60D, a neighborhood currently zoned to Cinco Ranch Junior High (CRJH). The proposal would change the junior high assignment of students residing in this neighborhood from CRJH to Tays Junior High (TJH) effective August 2025. The proposal would not impact these students’ assigned elementary or high school. Trustees are currently reviewing this evaluation. A feedback survey will be distributed in April to families who may be impacted by the change.

What is an Attendance Boundary Modification (ABM)?
Attendance Boundary Modifications (ABMs) help the district manage growth in Katy ISD. As district enrollment increases, it sometimes becomes necessary to adjust boundaries to balance student enrollment at each campus.

Tays Junior High

Where is Tays Junior High located?
The address is 26721 Hawks Prairie Blvd., Katy, TX 77494.

When would students residing in LUZs 60C and 60D be rezoned to Tays Junior High?
The attendance boundary modification (i.e., rezoning) would take effect in August 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year.
