Winter Graduates Take Center Stage as Katy ISD Celebrates the Class of 2026

KATY, TX [January 22, 2026] – Cheers echoed through the Leonard E. Merrell Center as 85 Katy ISD students crossed the stage Jan. 22, marking a proud milestone during the District’s 2026 Winter Commencement Ceremony. Surrounded by family and friends, graduates celebrated the culmination of their high school journey and the beginning of the pivotal and exciting years ahead for these former students.

The evening honored the graduates, educators, families and mentors who helped guide the students to the finish line. District leaders recognized the collective effort that supported students through perseverance, determination and growth.

“We are extremely proud of our winter graduates,” Katy ISD Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership and Support Dr. Emily Craig said. “Their perseverance and dedication demonstrate a commitment to excellence. Whether they are enrolling in college, joining the military, or entering the workforce, we are excited to celebrate their accomplishments!”

The Winter Commencement Ceremony reflects Katy ISD’s mission to partner with families and the community to deliver unparalleled learning experiences that prepare students to lead honorable, fulfilling lives and shape the future with confidence and purpose.
