Signed, Sealed & Slated for College: Signing Day Positions Katy ISD Athletes for the Next Big Step

KATY, TX [April 30, 2026] – Sixty-eight Katy ISD student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to compete at the collegiate level, continuing the District’s tradition of excellence in academics and athletics.

Surrounded by families, teammates and coaches, the signees marked the major milestone by committing to programs nationwide. From junior colleges to nationally recognized programs in the SEC and Big 12, as well as renowned academic institutions such as MIT, Katy ISD student-athletes will represent the District coast-to-coast.

“These 68 student-athletes represent the very best of Katy ISD — competitors who commit to excellence every day in the classroom and in their sport,” said Lance Carter, Executive Director of Athletics in Katy ISD. “They have earned this opportunity through discipline, resilience and a relentless drive to improve. We are proud to see them take the next step and continue representing the District at the collegiate level.”

The group includes athletes from baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, track and field and tennis, highlighting the depth and strength of Katy ISD’s comprehensive and competitive slate of athletic programs.

National Signing Day recognizes leadership, perseverance and the ability to balance rigorous academics with high-level competition. Katy ISD continues to develop student-athletes who succeed at the next level and beyond.
