Caps, Cheers and New Beginnings: Katy ISD Celebrates 2026 Summer Graduates

KATY, TX [August 26, 2026] - Cheers, applause and pride filled the Leonard E. Merrell Center as Katy ISD celebrated its 2026 Summer Graduating Class, recognizing 68 students who took their next steps toward college, careers, technical education or military service.

Surrounded by family members, friends, educators and District leaders, graduates marked the culmination of years of hard work. The ceremony also recognized the families, teachers, counselors, coaches and staff who supported students throughout their Katy ISD journey.

“Graduation represents an important milestone for our students and the culmination of years of hard work and perseverance,” Katy ISD Assistant Superintendent for School Leadership and Support Emily Craig said. “We are proud of these graduates for reaching this moment and grateful to the families, educators and staff who encouraged them along the way. We look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.”

The summer graduates now join the Katy ISD legacy and a community committed to their continued success beyond high school.

Their achievement reflects Katy ISD’s mission to, together with family and community, provide unparalleled learning experiences designed to prepare and inspire each student to live an honorable, fulfilling life — to create the future.
