Jerel Cutler | Director of Building Automation & Commissioning

Jerel Cutler is the Director of Building Automation and Commissioning for Katy ISD, a position he has held since 2015. With over two decades of expertise in managing and building automation systems, Jerel brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for efficiency to his role.

Under Jerel's leadership, his team oversees three vital departments: Energy Management, Low Voltage Controls, and Commissioning. In the Energy Management department, Jerel and his team diligently monitor district utilities and strategize ways to optimize energy usage, ensuring operations remain cost-effective and environmentally sustainable. In Low Voltage Controls, they tackle daily challenges related to the automation system, swiftly addressing issues to maintain seamless building automation. In Commissioning, Jerel adopts a proactive approach, reviewing systems and devices to uphold peak performance and efficiency standards.
