Energy Management & Commissioning

The Energy Management & Commissioning Department promotes an exceptional learning environment through the efficient use and conservation of electricity, water, and natural gas. 

We continually monitor all district buildings for necessary improvements to the classroom environment and to reduce the consumption of energy, thus making our buildings more efficient. “Utilities” cost is the second-largest budget line item.  As such, it is imperative that every utility dollar is well-spent. We have been successful in the procurement of energy through May 2027, thus lowering the cost per kwh. These lower energy costs have allowed us to add energy service for two new campuses without raising the utility budget.
