The Katy ISD Legacy Parent Academy is a series of informational sessions designed to assist parents by raising awareness on various social-emotional and academic topics that impact our students and our campuses district-wide. Academy participants will gain factual knowledge pertinent to each topic while also learning strategies and proven techniques to assist in supporting students.

The Truth About Teen Vaping: The Risks, Realities, and the Red Flags

This powerful presentation equips parents and community members with the facts they need to protect today’s youth. Learn the real risks of vaping, recognize warning signs, and gain practical tools to talk with your child about saying no when offered a vape. The session will also showcase the Hidden in Plain Sight “Big Tobacco Backpack,” revealing how vape devices can be disguised as everyday school supplies.

Social Media & Mental Health Awareness
