A Look into the Kindergarten Classroom
Kindergarten in Katy ISD is designed to build strong academic foundations while nurturing creativity, independence and social growth. Starting Kindergarten should be exciting and simple. Here are a few essentials to help your family prepare:

What Parents Need to Know
- Age requirement: Must be 5 years old on or before September 1
- Kindergarten registration opens February 2
- Complete enrollment online through the District’s enrollment portal
- Required documents include proof of residency, immunization records and birth certificate
- Registration requirements can be found at the District Registration General Requirements
