HUTSELL (HE) ELEMENTARY

Hutsell Elementary (HE) Northwest Quadrant

Zelma Hutsell Elementary School, a modern building with a covered entrance, stands against a backdrop of trees and a clear blue sky.

All eligible students in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 5th whose home campus in the Northwest Quadrant will attend Hutsell Elementary for the 2026 Summer School Programs.  Please find additional program information within our Elementary Summer Programs Newsletter.

Northwest Quadrant Feeder Campuses:  Bethke, Boudny, Cross, Faldyn, Hutsell, Katy, King, Leonard, McElwain, Robertson, Woodcreek, Youngblood

Programs - PreK/K ESL/Bilingual & 5th ELD & 5th HB1416

Application - All programs are by invitation only

Feeder Elementary Schools - Bethke, Boudny, Cross, Faldyn, Hutsell, Katy, King, Leonard, McElwain, Robertson, Woodcreek, Youngblood

Meals - Provided at no charge for all Summer Program students

Transportation - (each feeder school campus is a hub for students attending the Summer campus)

Times - 8:00 am - 3:45 pm 

Dates - (Katy ISD campuses are closed on Fridays during the summer)

  • PreK/K ESL/BIL:
    • Thursday, May 28 - Friday, May 29 
    • Monday, June 1 - Thursday, June 25
  • ELD (5th Grade):
    • Monday, June 1 - Wednesday, June 24
    • Staff in-service day Thursday, June 25
  • HB1416 (5th Grade):
    • Monday, June 15 - Thursday, June 25 
    • Students who need Reading only will receive 4 days of Reading accelerated learning
    • Students who need Math only will receive 4 days of Math accelerated learning
    • Students who need Math and Reading will receive 4 full days of Math accelerated learning followed by 4 full days of Reading accelerated learning (or vice versa)
