Student's log-on credentials

For most items that the student will log in to, they will use their Katy ISD ID which is printed at the bottom of their school ID Badge, along with their District password.

Note: on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 an email was sent to all parents of students in Grades PreK-5 containing the student's Katy ISD ID and Password. Please check your Spam folders if you did not receive the email.

Multiple students sharing one device

If you have more than one student sharing a computer/laptop/iPad for their schoolwork, and are experiencing problems with it logging the next user into the previous user's account, use this help article on the Knowledge Base to address the issue.

Clearing the Cache/Browser History

MyKaty Cloud

MyKaty Cloud is the location for students to begin accessing their textbooks and Katy ISD applications. URL: https://mykaty.katyisd.org/

Enable WebPass - this is an important step to ensure you are authenticated to other Katy ISD applications.

Students accessing the Knowledge Base

Students can access a Katy ISD resource known as the Knowledge Base. It contains many helpful articles addressing Technology topics, Online Textbooks, apps approved for student use, etc. The Knowledge Base may be accessed by the student the following ways:

From MyKaty Cloud:	search for “Knowledge Base” and click on the tile
From Web Browser:	type the URL: help.kayisd.org into the address bar of any web browser, and sign in using Katy ISD ID@katyisd.org (ex. A1234567@katyisd.org), and District password.

Parent Tech Meetings

Katy ISD offered Technology meetings for parents at the start of the 2020-2021 school year. These meetings were held virtually via Zoom and covered how parents and students can access and utilize many of the digital resources available at Katy ISD.
