Who Can Volunteer

If you truly want to be connected to your child's school there's no better way to do that than by volunteering. The servants-heart part of parents volunteering means that you're donating talents exclusively yours to children and teachers. The time you donate also sends a message to your own children that your most precious commodity is being given to their educational endeavors.

It's no secret that students reap numerous benefits when parents come to volunteer at their child's campus.  Research validates that when parents volunteer and are involved in their child's education, children are more likely to earn better grades, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and be more positive in their attitude toward school.

If you are a parent and just moved to Katy or just starting school with your child for the first time, Katy ISD welcomes every parent to step inside your child's campus and discover a multitude of opportunities waiting for you.  Whether you have a limited amount of time or several hours a week, there is a fit for every parent ~ mom or dad.   Contact your campus parent support group to learn more.
